The establishment play is becoming undeniably transparent. Watch former Alberta Premier Jason Kenney, who claims he has zero interest in returning to federal politics, yet spends his time firing attacks at Federal Conservative MPs and smearing independent commentators as an “alt-right influencer mob.”

Kenney and Ontario Premier Doug Ford—who recently claimed Canada is being treated like “communist China”—are using anti-American grandstanding to give Mark Carney a free pass. Notice what is missing from their talking points? They refuse to say the five-letter word: China. They won’t mention the CCP police stations, the real-estate money laundering, or how Carney’s friends at Brookfield Infrastructure are actively benefiting from Canadian capital fleeing across the border. They treat party members as voting cattle, using woke media tricks to police alternative media.

When asked directly if this synchronized messaging represents a coordinated effort to clear the runway for a leadership coup, the response from the establishment circle is dismissive sarcasm. But the pattern speaks for itself. They want a return to globalist compliance, where Ottawa insiders control the narrative while the working class carries the tax burden.

The Real Leverage: Securing our Border

True Canadian sovereignty isn’t built on theatrical insults or running defence for Mark Carney. Real leverage requires good-faith security leadership:

• Eradicate Foreign Interference: Flood the RCMP with resources to shut down CCP illegal police stations, crack down on systemic real estate money laundering, and secure our ports.

Beneath the surface of agricultural tariffs and temporary tariff delays lies a far larger, structural issue that Carney has spent months ignoring: China, economic security, and rules of origin.

The 3-Day Reprieve: What Promised Agricultural Concessions Were Made?

In a 90-second victory lap following a late-night call with Carney, Donald Trump repeatedly emphasized one specific winner in the tentative framework: American farmers.

“The tariffs will be non-existent for our farmers... Our farmers were paying tremendous tariffs into Canada and those tariffs are going to be totally eviscerated down to zero.” — President Donald Trump

This statement raises immediate, red-flag questions for Canadian producers. Under domestic law, Canadian negotiators are strictly barred from using supply-managed dairy sectors as a bargaining chip in trade talks. So what did Carney promise to illicit this response from Trump?

While Carney issued a vague statement claiming Canada is securing “the best terms in each of Canada’s most important strategic sectors,” Washington was far more specific. USTR Jameson Greer explicitly highlighted that any final deal would mandate “economic security commitments, digital trade alignment, and many important provisions that will continue to protect our market.”

A recent Globe and Mail analysis by Rita Trichur revealed that the White House is deploying an AI-enabled “detective border” tool specifically designed to catch Chinese customs fraud and enforce strict rules of origin under CUSMA. China has repeatedly used Canada and Mexico as backdoor transshipment corridors to dump manufacturing components into the U.S. market tariff-free.

The data is spelling out a harsh reality: there has been a massive drop in public confidence that Carney can secure any kind of beneficial deal with Donald Trump. If you want proof that the ground is shifting, just look at the markets. Wall Street hedge funds are currently placing the largest negative bets they’ve made in over two years against the Canadian economy. Leveraged funds now hold over 99,000 contracts tied to wagers on a weaker loonie. This is the largest spike in negative sentiment going all the way back to August 2024— the absolute peak of Justin Trudeau’s polling free-fall.

Because of this catastrophic economic mismanagement under the Trudeau-Carney banner, the Liberal establishment is throwing out desperate distractions. It is all by design. They want to throw you off the scent of the core issues actually destroying our country. Today, we are attempting to cut through that noise.

The Distraction Game: Refusing to Take the Bait

Recently, an article by Andrew Coyne made the rounds, provocatively titled to suggest that Canadian Conservatives have a “patriotism problem.” Let’s be crystal clear about what that piece was: it was bait.

It was a calculated attempt to create noise and to distract Canadians from Mark Carney’s horrendous leadership record. Need a quick reminder? He lied to the public about the Gordie Howe Bridge deal, and simultaneously allowed for devastating tariffs to be threatened against our economy, purely because of his lack of action. But instead of focusing on that, and the further implications, the establishment threw out this so-called “patriotism” article to see if Conservatives would bite.

And quite frankly, many did.

People within the party, around the party, and establishment commentators fell right into the trap by reacting defensively to Coyne’s accusations. Personally, when I saw it, I chose to ignore it. Why? Because participating in that debate means choosing to live and operate within a framework the Liberal Party has fabricated for us. The entire premise of that article was rooted in the ‘Liberal’ framing of what it means to be a patriot— what it means to be Canadian, and what it means to love your country. If you don’t agree with them, they brand you a traitor.

Barbara Ball, the Conservative candidate of record for Nepean, saw this for exactly what it was. She perfectly summarized how we should handle these tactics:

“It’s such a tired old play... It’s the same tactic cops are trained for. The driver says, ‘You only stopped me because of [blank].’ The officer says, ‘No, sir. I stopped you because you ran the red light.’ Don’t take the bait. Don’t defend. Don’t explain. Redirect.”

She is spot on. When they say “Conservatives are [blank],”— take, negative or obstructionist, for example— our only response should be blunt: “No, we want to know why Canada sent absolutely no one to the tariff discussion in Washington.” Stick to the actual issues. Our Prime Minister is failing us before our very eyes, and we quite literally cannot afford to let them change the subject.

The Power of Proactive Conservatism

For far too long, the conservative movement in Canada has been reactionary rather than proactive. We haven’t been eager to set the tone, establish the framing, or lead the conversation. We’ve been content to play defence against leftist narratives, which is exactly why we so often find ourselves behind the eight ball.

But when we choose to lead, we win.

Take the carbon tax. Speaking out against the carbon tax used to be considered political suicide. Former Conservative Party leader Erin O’Toole was so terrified of the media machine that he actually supported a version of it. But then Pierre Poilievre came in, unapologetically campaigned on “Axe the Tax,” and completely won over public opinion. It became so overwhelmingly popular that when Mark Carney swooped onto the scene, even he had to adopt the stance of scrapping it. That is what happens when you lead on an issue.

We saw another brilliant example of proactive conservatism just this week. Conservative MP Jamil Jivani published a gutsy piece asking if Mark Carney actually wants to lead the U.S. Democratic Party— given that he seems infinitely more interested in courting the favour of American Democrats than getting a fair trade deal for Canadian industries.

This piece put the Liberals entirely on their back foot. It frustrated them so much, that Liberal MP Mark Gerretsen felt compelled to film one of his infamous ‘walking videos’ just to respond to it. In his panic to cry “character assassination,” Gerretsen inadvertently had to concede what the actual role of the Official Opposition is: to challenge the government and highlight inefficient policy. Jivani forced the Liberals into a corner simply by being bold enough to say what we are all thinking.

The Real Root of the Tariff Crisis

If we want to fix our economy, we have to start having honest conversations about why we are being threatened with U.S. tariffs in the first place. This isn’t about Donald Trump having a personal or political vendetta against Canada. It is about our weak leadership, and the fact that the Liberals have completely dropped the ball on national security.

Plainly, we have not done our job with China. We have not done the job of rooting out CCP interference in our institutions. We have fundamentally failed to be a reliable national security partner to the United States. These tariffs are a blunt-force wake-up call aimed squarely at the pandering leadership residing in Ottawa.

Yet, instead of recognizing this reality, the consultant class and establishment Conservatives in Toronto and Ottawa— figures like Jason Kenney— are using this as a launching pad to push an anti-American agenda. They argue that, to show Canadians we are “fighting for Canada,” we must actively antagonize the United States and push back against Donald Trump.

Let’s be honest: it’s all fugazi. It is entirely fake. Unrealistic at best.

Our economy depends on a strong relationship with the United States. Pretending we don’t need them, or trying to act tough for cheap domestic political points, will only result in the utter economic ruin of our country. Conservatives are never going to out-anti-American the political left, so why are establishment Conservatives even trying?

The Grassroots Rebellion

When I first spoke out about prioritizing Western Hemisphere security, and the urgent need to kick out the CCP over rising tensions with the U.S. Administration, I was called a traitor by some in these establishment circles. I heard the exact same baseless accusations from the consultant class that I normally get from the radical left.

But I stood on my morals. I believed wholeheartedly that fixing our relationship with the U.S. and addressing the China threat was the only logical path forward. And the numbers prove that the grassroots agree.

If you look at the social media analytics from Jason Kenney’s recent anti-American media tour, the engagement is abysmal. They are racking up tens of thousands of views, but their engagement rate is well under 1%. When people do interact with their clips, it’s mostly to ‘ratio’ the post with disagreements in the comments.

Compare that to the message we are pushing here on The Elevate Report. When I posted my speech advocating for a strong Canada-U.S. security partnership, and a tough stance on China, it hit an engagement rate of roughly 5.5%—far surpassing standard marketing benchmarks. The full videos from our network are pulling in tens of thousands of views and thousands of likes.

What does this tell us? The grassroots are fully rejecting the establishment narrative. They see that doubling down on an anti-American, anti-Trump strategy is a losing game. The moderates are seeing it too.

Setting the Rules for Our Future

To be clear, I am not bringing this up just to take shots at Jason Kenney or the consultant class. I am bringing this up to prove that setting the narrative matters.

I could have cowered in fear at the accusations flung at me. I could have backed down when they questioned my definition of patriotism. But I refused. I used my voice, and I quickly realized that thousands of Canadians see exactly what I see.

Grassroots Conservatives know that what is true, remains true. Having a strong diplomatic and security relationship with the United States, while aggressively pushing the CCP out of our midst, is our fast pass to getting our country back. It is how we restore our economic sovereignty, bring order back to our nation, and secure Western values for generations to come.

We cannot afford to be reactionary anymore. We must set the framing. We must set the rules of the debate. Do not cower in the face of criticism from the establishment, because the very future of our nation depends on us standing firm.

When a government treats its own state media like second-class stenographers while getting completely exposed by international outlets, the elite alliance begins to fracture under the weight of its own deception. Today, we break down the spectacular collapse of Carney’s Gordie Howe Bridge narrative, the proxy warfare deployed at yesterday’s World Cup final, and the incoming regulatory hammer the establishment is desperate to hide.

The Bloomberg Scoop and the State Broadcaster’s Collapse

The primary crisis rocking the parliamentary press gallery stems from the complete humiliation of the Canadian media apparatus on the multi-billion-dollar Gordie Howe International Bridge opening deal.

They are twisting themselves because they cannot admit they were used as pawns to sell a total capitulation to the public.

The Sanction Threat and the Institutional Menu

The leverage play is moving rapidly. Over the weekend, news quietly surfaced that a U.S. Senator is floating the structural threat of asset freezes and targeted sanctions against both Mark Carney and Ontario Premier Doug Ford to force their hands on Chinese supply-chain circumvention.

As Sylvain Charlebois perfectly summarized: “If you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu.” While Mexico has three high-level trade meetings scheduled with Washington this summer, Canada currently has zero. Carney is hiding, delaying, and gaslighting, leaving our industrial and agricultural sectors completely exposed to the next wave of economic retaliation.

Whether it is a Canadian progressive crossing the border to physically attack children over political attire, or our Prime Minister ignoring Washington to talk trash to global elites, the pattern is identical. Leftists raised in the Canadian echo chamber genuinely believe their self-righteousness exempts them from consequences. But the moment they step outside our catch-and-release borders, they get hit by a brutal dose of reality.

Let’s look directly at the wreckage.

FAFO on the Boardwalk: The Arrest of Kaitlyn Tracey

Our first story is a textbook case of “F*** Around and Find Out” (FAFO). Last week, news broke of a 33-year-old Canadian woman, Kaitlyn Tracy, who was arrested by New Jersey police after launching a politically motivated physical assault on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk.

Tracy reportedly approached a group of teenagers, pulled out her phone to film them, and began screaming because a teenage girl in the group was wearing sweatpants with the words “Trump” and “ICE.” Tracey then slapped the minor across the face and body. Thanks to local surveillance footage, New Jersey police tracked her down and hit her with heavy charges: simple assault, harassment, obstruction, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Because Tracey is a Canadian citizen who entered the U.S. on a tourist passport, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) immediately intervened. Her American husband posted a tearful video breakdown online, weeping that his wife was transferred to a Newark detention centre. He pleaded for an immigration lawyer, admitting he is ready to have her deported back to Canada just to get her out of custody.

In Canada, our progressive state tolerates and excuses ideological violence. But when you cross into a sovereign jurisdiction that actually respects law enforcement, you don’t get released on bail based on your political opinions. You go directly to a cell.

The Davos Fantasy Meets the Pentagon Hammer

While Kaitlyn Tracey was discovering that American laws are real, Prime Minister Mark Carney was receiving the exact same lesson on the macroeconomic stage.

Instead of negotiating our vital CUSMA trade deal in good faith, Carney spent his winter at Davos delivering a pompous “Middle Powers Unite” speech. He urged globalists to bypass the United States, calling the “America First” posture a “rupture in the rules-based order”.

This week, the Trump administration officially lost its patience. In a series of devastating public statements, U.S. Under Secretary of Defence for Policy Elbridge Colby explicitly incinerated Carney’s entire foreign policy:

“There is a great deal of hubbub about a collective ‘middle powers’ strategy these days... At [the Department of War], we are more concerned that a few allies and partners will think it is and waste valuable time, money, and political capital on a distraction.” — Under Secretary Elbridge Colby

Colby reminded Canada that access to the U.S. defense industrial base is “a privilege, not a right,” and ridiculed the idea of a middle-power bloc as a fantasy lacking any coherent alignment.

Submarines, Soros, and the Nova Scotia Retreat

Carney’s anti-American spite is actively compromising our national security. Rather than buying premier U.S. F-35s or securing a massive $4.5 billion domestic industrial injection via a Korean submarine deal, Carney’s cabinet chose Swedish Gripens and a German submarine contract. Why? Because the German conglomerate’s affiliate promised to fund a massive carbon capture project in Alberta—a sector Carney is heavily invested in.

To make matters worse, Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly was spotted this week at the ultra-exclusive Fox Harb’r Resort in Nova Scotia, hosting none other than progressive billionaire Alex Soros. This is Soros’s second quiet Canadian meeting in four months. “Middle powers unite” is nothing more than code for progressive billionaires funding a backroom movement to subvert North American populism.

The Bottom Line

Whether it is an activist on a New Jersey boardwalk or a central banker at Davos, the ruling progressive class is discovering that their moral entitlement does not shield them from reality.

Appearing on CBC’s Power & Politics, Majumdar went toe-to-toe with host David Cochrane. Cochrane immediately tried to deploy the classic establishment script, framing Donald Trump and the U.S. administration as the sole source of international trade chaos. Cochrane even pointed to domestic U.S. court dramas as “proof” that Washington is simply an impossible partner to deal with.

But Majumdar—drawing on his extensive national security background as a former foreign policy advisor to Stephen Harper and John Baird—refused to take the bait. He bluntly exposed Canada’s trade failure as a direct consequence of our own gutless foreign policy. For a decade, Ottawa has treated national security as a joke, allowing Beijing to weaponize trade and systematically infiltrate our continental supply chains. Now that Washington is demanding strict perimeter security, our government is acting shocked that the “free-rider” era is over. By allowing Mexico to take the lead in Washington while our chair remained empty, the Carney administration has effectively let our partners dictate the future of CUSMA (USMCA).

Dillydallying into Defeat: The Evidence

Cochrane, desperate to defend the status quo, demanded to know: “What evidence is there that Canada is the problem here?” Majumdar’s response was a precise, devastating indictment of the Liberal-technocrat cabinet. While our elite class acts surprised by America’s assertiveness, our allies see a nation that refuses to carry its own weight on the global stage.

The forced labor issue is the ultimate smoking gun. While Mexico and Peru sent high-level, serious delegations to Washington to secure their supply chains, Canada’s presence was a complete embarrassment. We barely managed to submit a lazy, incomplete written note. Instead of showing up to the table, Carney’s cabinet ministers visit Beijing to coordinate with the CCP rather than lobbying in Houston, Los Angeles, New York, or Florida. We have completely surrendered our trade leverage because our leaders are more interested in getting rich off the green grift than securing the jobs of industrial workers.

• Unlocking Energy Infrastructure: Instantly repealing the anti-pipeline, anti-shipping, and anti-development regulations holding our economy hostage.

• Axing the Industrial Carbon Tax: Removing the regulatory deadweight to make trillions of dollars in Canadian resources shovel-ready within six months.

• Advancing our Defense Industrial Base: Transforming Canada into a premier, hard-power producer to resolve the free world’s massive munitions shortages.

The Bottom Line

The path forward is transparent. We can continue to let Mark Carney play radio silence with the White House while his cabinet prioritizes Beijing over our own backyard, or we can embrace a hard-nosed, pro-worker strategy that treats national security and resource development as our ultimate leverage.

But this isn’t just a career move for a tired politician—it is a calculated, deeply cynical chess move by Mark Carney to systematically engineer an illegitimate federal majority.

To pull off this flagrant political poaching, Carney had to quietly dismantle the last remaining illusion of parliamentary checks and balances.
